File Your 2021 Annual Hospice Utilization Report With Confidence

Completion of this Annual Utilization Report of Home Health Agencies and Hospices is required by Section 74729, Division 5, Title 22, of the California Code of Regulations for Home Health Agencies, and Section 1750(c) of the California Health and Safety Code for Hospices. Failure to file a timely report may result in a suspended license by the Department of Public Health (CDPH) until the report is completed and filed with HCAI.

Objective:

  • Understand the utilization reporting requirements.
  • Understand the required of each line item in the data sets.
  • Understand the data sets that can cause the most difficulty.

Presenter:

Dr. Cordt Kassner PHD · CEO at Hospice Analytics

Dr. Kassner is a hospice and end-of-life healthcare industry analyst. He incorporated Hospice Analytics in 2008 to work with Medicare and other national databases to increase access to and utilization of high quality end-of-life care. He earned degrees in Social Work (BS, Illinois State University), Counseling (MA, Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary), and Health & Behavioral Sciences (PhD, University of Colorado-Denver). His prior work experience includes serving as CEO of the Colorado Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. He has served as a "translator" of information between administration/clinical healthcare professionals and researchers/statisticians for over 20 years.
