Give a Gift In Honor, In Memory, In Celebration

Many donors elect to give a tribute gift:

  • In celebration of an event
  • In honor of a special individual
  • In memory of a loved one.

When we notify someone that an individual, or event, has been honored, remembered or celebrated, we never disclose the amount of the gift. Rather the acknowledgement letter states that a gift has been received in "your honor", or in "loving memory of your husband, John", or in "celebration of your 50th Wedding Anniversary".

Corporate, Organization and Foundation Giving

Your company, organization or foundation can support the essential work of the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association through:

  • Specific grants for program support
  • Sponsorships for education and information services
  • Designated or undesignated gifts
  • Underwriting a project

Matching Gifts

Check with your Human Resources Department to see if your company has a Matching Gifts Program. If you do have a program ask for the Matching Gifts form, complete your part of the form and send it to us with your donation. We then complete our part of the form, submit it and will then receive your employers matching gift.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is an opportunity to celebrate and support the things that are important to us through financial and estate planning.

Before making any decisions about planned giving, any gift possibility should be discussed with your legal and tax advisors. We ask that any designated gift (gifts for a specific purpose) be discussed with us in advance, to assure that every donor's intent can be honored. Please have your legal advisor use the following legal name when making a gift through your will or other estate plan: "I bequeath (state the specific gift) to the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association." The material presented in this website is not offered as legal or tax advice.

United Way

The California Hospice and Palliative Care Association receives donations from many different United Way Campaigns held throughout California. Just designate us on your pledge form; insert our name, address and zip code. Then we will receive your contribution. Be sure to include your name and address so that we are able to thank you and add you to our mailing list.
