Patricia Gonzalez has over 23 years experience as an RN. She has practiced nursing in the state of California since 1998, before joining the California Nurses Association in 2019 as a nursing practice representative. 

She serves as an educator for the organization, researching, preparing and teaching nurses on a variety of topics relevant to health care in general and the scope of nursing practice and patient advocacy. She particularly enjoys her work with small groups of nurses from various clinical backgrounds who strive to support their peers and enrich their advocacy in their workplaces.

She provides collaborative analysis of current trends within the scope of nursing practice; serves as a resource for the organization's commissions, committees, and task forces related to nursing practice and patient advocacy, as well as providing nursing insights and clinical expertise when requested by National Nurses United legal department.
