In this interactive workshop, we will look at implicit bias through the lens of compassion and empathy. The learning is made more meaningful because it helps to connect the concept of implicit bi as to improving relationships with other people. We will look at the scienc e of bias, how biases influence perceptions and behavior, and how biases ma y influence community relationships. We will explore and create ways togeth er to reduce the bias effect thereby strengthening positive community relat ionships.

Through customized workshops, D r. Parker gently helps participants learn about and actively build this kin d of environment.
Bringing a long hist ory of dynamic, intelligent, and expansive presence, he gladly shares his d eep passion for the arts. In his workshops, he draws on his experience as a n ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter to help others express feelings and new understandings. He incorporates popular music to set themes and inv ites movement to engage participants.
