HHWN: Creative Programming for Caregivers & the Bereaved
Thursday, November 07, 2024, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM PDT
Category: Live Webinar

Are you in a bereavement programming rut?

If so, it’s likely family members are experiencing lower satisfaction as a result. Lower-risk clients may be easier to serve because they don’t need as many services as those who are medium-to-high risk. Does your agency have the programs and services to provide for higher-risk folks? What would it take to up your offerings? Join this informative session to learn about creative programming that could be a game-changer.

AFTER THIS WEBINAR YOU’LL BE ABLE TO:
  • List three ways to help caregivers reconnect with their support systems
  • Discuss the importance of spirituality for many and describe one creative method to move beyond traditional approaches
  • Describe the caregiver training program that can be offered virtually as a self-study program or in person
  • Understand methods to maximize other virtual services for both caregivers and the bereaved
  • Employ six creative formalized programs/services that utilize volunteers to reach and include higher-risk bereaved
  • Describe four support groups that you may not be offering now
  • Explain three types of expanded bereavement services such as children’s camps, family one-day camps, and the four-hour retreat

WEBINAR DETAILS

Based on data and research, hospice programs nationally are not good at serving the needs of people who are considered medium-to-high risk. In general, lower-risk individuals are the ones accessing bereavement services. Could that be because the “standard” services offered by most agencies just aren’t cutting it?

This webinar will look at ways to expand your programs and services. In some cases, it may just be a minor addition to what you are doing now. It will also explore services that are more likely to reach out and connect with those with higher-level needs. Join us to take a look at creative programming and services for both caregivers and the bereaved.

THIS WEBINAR WILL BENEFIT THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES:

  • Hospice
