Audio-Conference Description

Fraud enforcers continue to go after marketers, their employers and referral sources, such as discharge planners! Knowledge is often the key to avoiding dire consequences from non-compliant marketing activities. Marketers for hospices must understand what is allowed and what isn’t. The stakes are high, so providers must get it right!  Hospices in California have an especially difficult job in view of recent legislation.

The purpose of this presentation is to provide in-service education about current federal and California requirements governing activities of hospice marketers, the owners of a hospice, hospice leadership, and referral sources.

What do hospices need to know about the federal anti-kickback statute and Stark?

What do hospices need to know about new law and requirements specific to California?

How are federal and state requirements in California different? What can hospices give to referral sources?

What about lunches for referral sources? How much is too much?

Gather your marketing staff together for this in-depth educational session.

Questions will be welcome and extensive handouts will be provided.
