CHAPCA Public Policy and Regulatory Committee would like to hear from our California Hospice Providers regarding the California Auditors office audit of the State’s licensure and oversight of hospice agencies published March 29, 2022.

An audit of the State’s licensure and oversight of hospice agencies and found that the State’s weak controls have created the opportunity for large-scale fraud and abuse. The report identified numerous indicators of such fraud and abuse by hospice agencies.

CHAPCA Public Policy and Regulatory Committee will review highlights from the report and solicit feedback from California Hospice Providers.
