Weatherbee Resources has provided more than 45 Hospice Regulatory Boot Camps across the country since 2006. More than 3,500 hospice professionals, surveyors, consultants, and others have attended Weatherbee’s two-day boot camps for in-depth, timely and relevant information related to hospice regulations, compliance challenges and managing hospice scrutiny.
Hospices across the country utilize Weatherbee’s Boot Camps for orienting new staff and for the on-going training of Executive Directors, Hospice Medical Directors and Team Physicians, Clinical Managers, Corporate Compliance Officers, QAPI Coordinators, the Interdisciplinary Group, and others.
An optional third day workshop, Hospice Documentation Essentials, is being offered for hospice physicians and IDG members. This workshop will be facilitated by Carrie Cooley, Jennifer Younker-Mirth, and Colleen O’Keefe.
Building upon the content presented during the two-day Boot Camp, this optional third day will dive deeper into the essential elements of hospice documentation. The day-long seminar will begin with a didactic exploration of:
- Strategies to turn assessment data into documentation that supports payment;
- Use of hospice assessment scales to document disease progression; and
- Substantiating clinical eligibility with documentation of secondary conditions and related comorbidities.
Participants will practice their documentation skills during the afternoon of this third day session and receive feedback from Weatherbee’s executive team. This optional third day is only open to Boot Camp registrants.
